One of my earliest school assignments involved writing reports on the Portland Trail Blazers, a creative way my parents blended my interests with education. This approach ignited my lifelong passion for writing.
I pursued this passion at Washington State University, majoring in English and contributing to the school newspaper as a reporter and opinion writer. My first job out of college was at a weekly newspaper, where I wrote 6-7 stories weekly on various topics. My dedication and skill quickly led to promotions, first to editor and then to editor-in-chief.
After leaving the newspaper, I expanded my experience into print and digital marketing, focusing on search engine optimization (SEO). This role provided me with deep insights into navigating Google’s algorithms effectively.
Beyond journalism, my writing projects have included freelance marketing, opinion pieces published in three separate newspapers, blog posts, and social media content for LinkedIn and Instagram.
Currently, I live in Vancouver, Washington. I'm a foodie, addicted to golf, and love exploring national parks.
